We're loving the bare faces that graced the runways of this season's runway shows. Alexander Wang went for a Brooke Shields inspired All-American girl next door look with a loosely braided ponytail and arched up brows. Diane von Furstenberg opted for more ethereal look with wing eyeshadow and crimped hair.

Everyone knows that smell is the strongest sense tied to memory. That's why we're constantly on the hunt for our signature scent. We're scoured the shelves of Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works in the hopes that we'll find a fragrance that we can't do without. We have a few favorites, but right now our hearts are set on any and everything coconut scented.

We love Laura Mercier's Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Cream although it's a bit pricey. It glides on, and a single jar will last forever. A more wallet-friendly option is Creamed Almond and Coconut Shower Smoothie. The thick cream is perfect for post-shower rehydration.

If you're looking for a coconut-filled beauty fix that you can carry with you, opt for The Body Shop Coconut Lip Butter. The organic formula will keep your lips kissably smooth.

Smoky Eyes
Smoky eyes have been around for some time now, but for Fall 2009, beauty mavens are kicking it up a notch with bold lines (think dark smudgy kohls or defining black liner) and deep color (dark purples and blues are hot). This is not a workplace-friendly look, so if you do indulge (and quite frankly, we suggest you do) keep it softer for day with some subtle gray shadows and kick it up for evening by adding some sweeping color and dark definition all around ...

Too Faced Smoky Eye Palette

Nude Lips
With bold hair and eyes the order of the season, lips will sometimes take a back seat. We’re not talking just a slick of gloss and no color (like we were apt to enjoy all summer long) but intentional nude color. That means lipsticks that are matte or with a very subtle shine, and stand-out pale

Red Lips
This is typical of the contrary world of style—tell us nude lips are IT, and then throw some bold, look-at-me red lips in the mix. We love options, however, and red lips are both classic and edgy. Plus, they pop against the neutral palettes of fall fashion. No shiny maraschino cherry reds here though—deep, sophisticated color, kept matte and tasteful.

Black Lipstick
Yes, black and gray lipsticks loomed large on the runway for fall. No, we don’t imagine all of us will be able to pull off this particular trend—but it’s still worth noting. Because, quite frankly, a few short years ago who would have thought we’d be walking around in black nail polish
without having oncoming pedestrians cross to the opposite side of the street? Heading to the family reunion in Ohio? Er, skip it (unless being uninvited to future reunions is your goal). But for an evening at that new club in your hottest LBD? We say why not? You could go to a store like Hot Topic and buy the stuff all the kids are wearing, but if you’re not quite ready for goth—try an almost-black shade like Black Cherry from Milani, $3.49 at Drugstore.com

Grey Nail Polish

Speaking of black nail polish, dark neutrals and neutral metallics are still in, but the newest neutral color for your fingertips is, yes, gray. Not a big shock considering gray has been the color for fall/winter the last couple seasons and continues to be a huge presence this year—but we’re always up for a new way to wear it. We suggest N.Y.C. Nail Polish—which offers plenty in the gray-to-silver range on the cheap—available at Wal-Mart, Target, wherever.

Purple Nail Polish
Purple appeared on the fall hue radar a few seasons ago, but rather than being a here-and-gone trend it’s kind of become a fall staple. This season, we like dramatic purple fingertips—which is always a great way to don a trendy hue without having to spend a bundle. It’s all about the drama, so make your nails eye-catching (in other words, skip sweet lavender shades and go for something bold—like this Sally Hansen Nail Color Pen in Purple.

Rosy Cheeks
Forget that winter pall—this fall faces should be less Tim Burton, more Little Mary Sunshine. With all the black and gray on the fashion front for fall, we’re happy to inject a little softness (and, well, circulation) into our look with a soft rosy glow. And while the 80s are king this fall, forget the bold space-age streak—color should be applied with a big soft brush on the apples of the cheeks to look fresh and modern.

It’s that time of the year where hair removal it at its highest (I get lazy during the winter…very lazy). I like to shave (in the shower with a razor or I use a dry shaver) because it’s easy and leaves your skin so smooth, but I have also used depilatory creams, but it never removes all my hair (you have to end up rubbing it off with a wash cloth…which is annoying). I tried to wax my own leg and it was horrible, not only did it hurt like you wouldn’t believe…my skin felt sore in that one spot for weeks. And I couldn’t wax anymore. I have never gotten waxed professionally because I’m a punk and I don’t have the money. And I’m scared to venture in the bikini waxing world (WAY too scary). So what is your method of hair removal? Do you shave, wax or use a depilatory creams?

I adore bangs, but when you have curly hair in the summer it can lead to the poodle syndrome (where your hair poufs out on you). I had bangs as a youngster and then grew out of them, but lately with all the celebs wearing cute little bangs I want them soooo bad. I think it’s a great way to update your look, but I am terrified I won’t like it if I cut bangs so I want to get the clip on bangs that way it’s a temporary look and I can decide later ( maybe in the Fall), what I want to do. I think the fake bangs are cute, other people think they are funny or weird…what do you think?

The Bang Clip,$29, on Jessica Simpson are from Hair U Wear from Ken Paves. You can buy them at Vogue Wigs.

This week's celebrity beauty looks of the week feature a ton of relative unknowns (including Susan Sarandon's gorgeous daughter Eva Amurri) with gorgeous faces. We're loving the understated glam look the one we're seeing on Diane Kruger. The "Inglourious Basterds" star used broad strokes of brown shadow on an almost bare face.

Gabrielle Union, Jessica Lucas and Jamie Lee Kirchner show that bronze shades are striking on women on color. Grab a gold/bronze shadowicon for instant highlights.

Katie Cassidy delivers a classic nighttime look. Complete with bronze chicks, kohl-rimmed eyesicon and dusty rose lip color.

41-year old Laura Leighton proves that great beauty isn't just for the teeny-boppers. Her bold cheeks and lips make her a standout.

Eva Amurri and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz both use their lipcolors to play up different features. Eva choose a Marilyn-esque lipstick to draw attention to her pout, and Ashlee's nude gloss makes her smoky brown eyes stand out!.

Here's a how-to for this week's stand out looks.
